\nPereira<\/a> even though \u201cPoatan\u201d lost at the White House. <\/p>\n

Pereira (13-4) aimed to create history by challenging Ciryl Gane<\/a>
\n(14-2) for the interim heavyweight title at
\nUFC Freedom 250<\/a> on Sunday at the White House. Pereira never got
\nhis momentum going before Gane hurt him early in the second round
\nand followed up with a barrage of shots to secure the finish.
\nMeanwhile, Hokit (10-0) earned a lopsided stoppage win in a
\nheavyweight clash against Derrick
\nLewis<\/a> (29-14) on the same card.<\/p>\n

Hokit was watching Pereira getting finished during a post-fight
\ninterview. With the new interim champion Gane expected to face the
\nchamp Tom
\nAspinall<\/a> in a title unifier, Hokit is eyeing a clash against
\nPereira next.<\/p>\n

Targeting \u2018Poatan\u2019<\/h2>\n

\u201cI think Pereira gained a little too much weight,\u201d Hokit said in a
\npost-fight interview with the
\nUFC<\/a>. \u201cI think he weighed in at 251 [pounds], that\u2019s not good.
\nYou\u2019ve got to be light, something that you\u2019re used to. Maybe he got
\ncaught up in the heavyweight mentality, where I\u2019ve got to be big,
\ngot to be powerful. No, you\u2019ve got to be still fast, whatever
\nyou\u2019re comfortable with\u2026 Maybe Ciryl Gane<\/a>
\nfights Aspinall. I\u2019ll fight Pereira still.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hokit started an unprovoked feud with Pereira in the lead-up to the
\nWhite House card. \u201cThe Incredible Hok\u201d told Pereira, \u2018I\u2019ll Chama on
\nyour mama.\u2019 \u201cThe Incredible Hok\u201d used the derogatory phrase in
\nfront of Pereira at the fighter hotel and even in his post-fight
\ninterview after his win over Lewis. <\/p>\n
