Ruffy faced Michael
\nChandler<\/a> in a lightweight tilt at
\nUFC Freedom 250<\/a> on Sunday at the White House. Ruffy beat
\nChandler down in style before making him fold with a spinning wheel
\nkick late in the first round. Only a few follow-up shots were
\nnecessary for the referee to call a stop to the action. <\/p>\n

Ruffy then made the victory even more special by proposing to his
\ngirlfriend, Nadine, for marriage. Ruffy said that while he had
\nwanted to marry her soon after they met, they didn\u2019t have the
\nfinancial conditions to do so.<\/p>\n

The Ideal Time and Place<\/h2>\n

\u201cA while ago, when I met my wife Nadine. I really wanted to ask her
\nto marry me, but we didn\u2019t have the money, we didn\u2019t have the
\ncondition,\u201d Ruffy said in his post-fight interview. \u201cAnd now, what
\nbetter place, to ask my wife to get married. Nadine, I love you,
\nwould you marry me?\u201d<\/p>\n

While the cameras didn\u2019t show Nadine, UFC commentator Joe Rogan
\nconfirmed that she gave Ruffy\u2019s proposal a thumbs up.<\/p>\n

Ruffy (14-2) has finished four of his five UFC wins so far, while
\nonly losing to Benoit St.
\nDenis<\/a>. Meanwhile, Chandler (23-11) is 2-6 since his UFC debut
\nin 2021, and is on a four-fight skid since 2022.  <\/p>\n
