\nHolloway<\/a> in a welterweight contest at UFC 329<\/a>
\non July 11. In an interview on “The
\nAriel Helwani Show,”<\/a> the former two-division champion revealed
\nthat he has two fights left on his current deal \u2014 and the date for
\nhis final bout is also tentatively in place. However, McGregor
\nisn\u2019t necessarily pleased by the potential layoff between those two
\nbookings.<\/p>\n
\n\u2013 where would you think they would put me back in? When would
\nyou think they would put me back in? April 2027. It’s almost a year
\nlater. That’s ridiculous to me. No? This is the way the contract
\nwas done. I have my second date in April 2027.\u201d<\/p>\nA Different Type of Deal<\/h2>\n
\nOctagon return. Under his previous contract, the Dublin native
\nreceived points as part of the UFC\u2019s previous pay-per-view model.
\nWith the new media rights agreement with Paramount+, all UFC
\nnumbered events are available through a subscription fee on the
\nstreaming platform. That made the financial aspect of McGregor\u2019s
\ncontract a little different than in the past. With that being said,
\nthe \u201cNotorious\u201d appears to have hope for another UFC contract once
\nthe current one is fulfilled.<\/p>\n
