\nTsarukyan<\/a> believes no one in the lightweight division can beat
\nhim right now. <\/p>\n

Justin
\nGaethje<\/a> (28-5) challenged Ilia
\nTopuria<\/a> (17-1) for the undisputed lightweight title at
\nUFC White House<\/a> last weekend. Gaethje handed Topuria a brutal
\nbeating, forcing a corner stoppage at the end of the fourth round.
\n\u201cThe Highlight\u201d became the undisputed lightweight champion in one
\nof the greatest upsets in UFC title fight history. <\/p>\n

Currently rallying for the next lightweight title shot, Tsarukyan
\n(23-3) believes he is equipped to beat both Gaethje and Topuria. If
\nTsarukyan is champion by the time Topuria recovers, \u201cAhalkalkets\u201d
\nwould like to hand him a beating worse than Gaethje did. Tsarukyan
\ncurrently doesn\u2019t see any threat in the lightweight division since
\nformer champ Islam
\nMakhachev<\/a> moved up to welterweight.<\/p>\n

Supremely Confident<\/h2>\n

\u201cI want to beat Justin
\nGaethje<\/a>. I want to beat everybody,\u201d Tsarukyan said on \u201cThe
\nAriel Helwani Show.\u201d \u201cAnd when Ilia is gonna be ready, if I\u2019m gonna
\nbe a champion, I would like to do [to him] same as Justin did, even
\nworse\u2026 I know I can beat Ilia, and I know how I can beat Justin\u2026
\nOnly one guy [Islam
\nMakhachev<\/a>] who was tough, and he moved up to 170. Nobody in
\nlightweight division can beat me right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tsarukyan suffered a decision loss against Makhachev in his
\n
\nUFC<\/a> debut in 2019. While Tsarukyan was scheduled to fight
\nMakhachev for the title in a rematch last year, \u201cAhalkalakets\u201d
\npulled out a day before the fight due to an injury. That withdrawal
\nhas cost Tsarukyan heavily, as he has since been sidelined from the
\ntitle picture despite widely being considered the most deserving
\ncontender.  <\/p>\n
