The day after recording a video for his channel criticizing

\nDean<\/a>‘s refereeing in his
\nUFC White House<\/a> fight with Ciryl Gane<\/a>,
\nAlex
\nPereira<\/a> spoke with fellow Brazilian Renato “Moicano”<\/a> on his YouTube channel.<\/p>\n

In a nearly 30-minute conversation, Poatan reacted to the video
\nposted by Dean explaining exactly where the area where strikes are
\nprohibited is located, clarifying his decision.<\/p>\n

“This video is a joke. The guy puts a coin and says here you can’t
\nhit, but there’s an area around it where you put a limit. The fact
\nis that if he signaled during the fight, my opponent would
\ncertainly think about the possibility of the fight being stopped
\nthere,” said Pereira, reiterating his desire to see the referee
\npenalized. “Something needs to happen. Dana doesn’t fire fighters,
\nwhy not referees?\u201d<\/p>\n

No More Dean<\/h2>\n

The Brazilian did not mention appealing to the athletic commission
\nto change the fight result to no contest, but made it clear that he
\nwill no longer accept having a fight refereed by Herb Dean<\/a> under
\nany circumstances.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy dream was never to feel hungry. I achieved much more by
\nsecuring a peaceful future for my children and my family,\u201d Pereira
\nsaid. \u201cI don’t know how the refereeing of a fight is defined, but
\nif in my next fight the commission insists that it has to be him, I
\nwon’t fight anymore, period. Thank God I am very happy with
\neverything I have already achieved.\u201d<\/p>\n

Asked by \u201cMoicano\u201d if he felt any effects from the concussion the
\nnight after the fight, \u201cPoatan\u201d revealed that he had head exams on
\nTuesday and is now awaiting the results confirming that everything
\nis OK.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didnt feel any different symptoms in my head except for the
\nnormal local pain due to the blows. When the exam results come, if
\neverything is OK, I will make myself available to the
\nUFC<\/a> for the rematch. My focus now is 100% on the heavyweight
\ndivision. Actually my focus is the belt, but whatever the UFC
\ndecides, I will be ready.\u201d<\/p>\n
