O\u2019Malley took on Aiemann
\nZahabi<\/a> in a bantamweight tilt at
\nUFC White House<\/a> last weekend. Despite taking some brutal inside
\nleg kicks from Zahabi, O\u2019Malley knocked out the Canadian in the
\nsecond round. O\u2019Malley then called for a title shot against
\nYan. <\/p>\n

However, Yan claims he had already agreed to defend his title
\nagainst O\u2019Malley at the White House. \u201cNo Mercy\u201d believes the UFC
\ndidn\u2019t make the matchup because the promotion wanted to make sure
\nthat O\u2019Malley won at the White House.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe UFC were afraid for you!\u201d Yan wrote on his Instagram Stories.
\n\u201cThey needed to be sure that you would win in the White House! They
\ndidn’t want you to get beaten in the White House! I gave my
\nconsent! That’s why they gave you someone you can at least
\nhandle!\u201d<\/p>\n

O\u2019Malley (20-3) defeated Yan (20-5) via a controversial split
\ndecision in their first meeting in 2022. \u201cSuga\u201d dethroned Aljamain
\nSterling<\/a> to win the title in his next fight and defended it
\nonce before losing to Merab
\nDvalishvili<\/a>. O\u2019Malley failed to reclaim his title in a rematch
\nagainst Dvalishvili. O\u2019Malley has since rebounded with wins over
\nYadong
\nSong<\/a> and Zahabi. Meanwhile, Yan is on a four-fight winning
\nstreak, topped off by a clinical title win over Dvalishvili this
\npast December. <\/p>\n
