Jean
\nSilva<\/a> believes he will jump the queue ahead of Movsar
\nEvloev<\/a> for the next
\nUFC<\/a> featherweight title shot. <\/p>\n

Silva considers himself next in line for a title shot against
\nAlexander
\nVolkanovski<\/a>. However, standing in his way is Evloev, who has
\nlong been the top contender at 145 pounds. Volkanovski has also
\nrepeatedly acknowledged the undefeated Russian as the most
\ndeserving title contender. However, Silva doesn\u2019t think Evloev will
\nget the next title shot. While Silva is eyeing a title shot next,
\nhe is willing to take one more fight if he needs to.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m the next one in line for the title,\u201d Silva told MMAjunkie.com<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m the next one that\u2019s gonna
\nget that belt. I\u2019m taking that belt back to Brazil. Hunter\u2019s
\nhelping me with that. My manager Ivan is helping me out with that.
\nDana as well\u2026 They\u2019re giving me the path to that\u2026 I think the
\nchances of Evloev fighting Volkanovski by the end of the year are
\nslim. And if Volk wants to fight somebody, I\u2019ll be ready to fight
\nhim. And if I need to fight somebody else, I\u2019ll beat up on somebody
\nelse before I\u2019m on my way to fighting him by the end of the
\nyear.\u201d<\/p>\n

Assessing Evloev<\/h2>\n

While Evloev (20-0) is unbeaten in 10 UFC fights, he hasn\u2019t
\nfinished any of his opponents. Silva believes Evloev only has
\nhimself to blame for being deprived of a title shot so far.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think he has ever got left behind,\u201d Silva said. \u201cI just
\nthink he has been stuck, he just hasn\u2019t progressed. This is a
\nbusiness, you need to sell your fights, you need to perform. You
\nneed to be there, you need to be active. If you don\u2019t perform,
\npeople are gonna outperform you. They are gonna bypass
\nyou.\u201d  <\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Silva (17-3) has finished five of his six UFC wins so
\nfar, while only losing to Diego
\nLopes<\/a>. \u201cLord\u201d has rebounded from that loss with a decision win
\nover Arnold
\nAllen<\/a> this past January. <\/p>\n
