\nPergande<\/a> has accused Ian Garry<\/a> of
\nlying. <\/p>\n

The spat started with Pergande posting a video of a training
\nsession where he took Garry down. Garry unfollowed Pergande on
\nInstagram after the clip went viral. Replying to a fan, Garry said
\nthat he unfollowed Pergande because \u201cRussian DNA\u201d had filmed their
\ntraining session without consent. Garry also accused Pergande of
\ncontinuing to film even after he was asked not to.<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause he filmed me without permission, then secretly kept
\nfilming me after I asked him to stop and has been editing and
\nreposting the same session for four years,\u201d Garry wrote. \u201cI liked
\nthe kid but respect when someone says no to filming you.\u201d <\/p>\n

However, Pergande (8-0) completely denies Garry\u2019s accusations.
\nPergande says his fianc\u00e9e was filming the session in the presence
\nof Garry\u2019s wife and UFC middleweight Chris
\nCurtis<\/a>. According to Pergande, he was never asked to stop
\nfilming the session. The undefeated PFL featherweight believes the
\nwhole episode has been blown out of proportion because of Garry\u2019s
\nupcoming
\nUFC<\/a> welterweight title challenge against Islam
\nMakhachev<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Another Sparring Controversy<\/h2>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t know the day would come when Ian Garry<\/a> is
\nlying about me\u2026 None of that was true,\u201d Pergande said on TikTok.
\n\u201cI\u2019m not sure why he made up a lie that never happened. Because his
\nwife, his training partner Chris
\nCurtis<\/a>, his cameraman were all next to my fianc\u00e9e. She was
\nright up on the cage next to the fence and she was filming freely.
\nAnd not once did someone ask, \u2018Hey, can we not record this
\nsession?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Garry (17-1) has suffered his only professional loss against fellow
\ncontender Shavkat
\nRakhmonov<\/a>, who is currently sidelined due to an injury. The
\nIrishman is now scheduled to challenge Makhachev (28-1) for the
\nwelterweight title in the main event at UFC
\n330<\/a> on Aug. 15 at the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia,
\nPennsylvania.  <\/p>\n
