Umar
\nNurmagomedov<\/a> is excited for a potential fight against Yadong
\nSong<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Nurmagomedov was originally scheduled to fight David
\nMartinez<\/a> at
\nUFC Abu Dhabi<\/a> on July 25. However, the booking has fallen off
\nas Martinez is forced out with an injury. Nurmagomedov has been
\nrumored to face Song at a later date. <\/p>\n

Nurmagomedov recently admitted that he is interested in the matchup
\nagainst Song because he considers the Chinese fighter to be a
\n\u201cpunching bag.\u201d Nurmagomedov was not impressed by the one-sided
\nbeatdown that Song suffered against Sean O\u2019Malley earlier this
\nyear. Nurmagomedov doesn\u2019t rank Song among the best fighters in the
\ndivision.<\/p>\n

Not in the Same League<\/h2>\n

\u201cOf course, I\u2019m interested,\u201d Nurmagomedov told told Adam Zubayraev<\/a>. \u201c [Song] is a punching
\nbag. How did he do against O\u2019Malley? He was dead by the third
\nround. Fourth round, he was taking knees to the face (Song vs.
\nO\u2019Malley was three rounds)\u2026I don\u2019t consider him a top-class
\nfighter, honestly.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nurmagomedov (20-1) was undefeated in seven
\nUFC<\/a> outings before suffering his lone professional loss in a
\nfailed bantamweight title bid against Merab
\nDvalishvili<\/a> last year. Nurmagomedov has since rebounded with
\nwins over Mario
\nBautista<\/a> and Deiveson
\nFigueiredo<\/a>. Meanwhile, Song (23-9) has alternated losses
\nagainst Petr Yan<\/a> and
\nO\u2019Malley with wins over Henry
\nCejudo<\/a> and Figueiredo in his last four outings.  <\/p>\n
