\nMesquita<\/a> wants to bring the iconic Brazil-Argentina rivalry to
\nthe Octagon. <\/p>\n

Mesquita (8-0) took on Melissa
\nMullins<\/a> (7-3) in a women\u2019s bantamweight matchup at
\nUFC Fight Night 279<\/a> on Saturday in Las Vegas. Mullins rocked
\nMesquita in the opening round and surprisingly chose to take the
\nfight to the canvas. As Mullins postured up to drop an elbow, \u201cBia\u201d
\nlocked up an armbar to earn a quick tap. <\/p>\n

Mesquita subsequently aimed high with a callout of Ailin
\nPerez<\/a>. Explaining her callout, Mesquita said that he wants to
\njump up the UFC.com rankings, where Perez is currently at No. 5.
\nThe undefeated Brazilian also said that she doesn\u2019t like the
\nattitude of Perez, who is known for celebrating her wins by
\ntwerking. Mesquita further believes that it\u2019ll be an interesting
\nmatchup against the Argentinian to translate the age old
\nBrazil-Argentina soccer rivalry into the Octagon.<\/p>\n

\u2018I Don\u2019t Like Her Attitude\u2019<\/h2>\n

\u201cHonestly, I want to end up in the Top 10, Top 5 by the end of the
\nyear,\u201d Mesquita said in an interview with the
\nUFC<\/a>. \u201cSo, [Perez] is there. And I really think it\u2019s a good
\nmatch for me. I don\u2019t like her attitude in the cage. But more than
\nthat, I think she\u2019s a really good match for me. She can grapple
\ntoo, so I think it\u2019s gonna be a really interesting fight. Also,
\nBrazil and Argentina is a big rivalry.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mesquita has never gone the distance in her eight career wins,
\nfinishing six of them via submission. Meanwhile, Perez (13-2) is
\ncurrently riding a six-fight winning streak in the UFC. <\/p>\n
