Ian
\nGarry<\/a> wants to prove a point against Islam
\nMakhachev<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Garry is scheduled to challenge Makhachev for the welterweight
\ntitle in the main event at UFC
\n330<\/a> on Aug. 15 at the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia.
\nGarry believes his rangy movement will pose Makhachev problems that
\nhe has never faced before. While Garry went to wrestling camp in
\nGeorgia, Makhachev recently said that wrestling cannot be learned
\nin a few months. However, Garry hopes that Makhachev takes him down
\nso that he can prove a point. The Irishman vows to defeat Makhachev
\nin wrestling, which is the Dagestani champion\u2019s bread and
\nbutter.<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u2019m Going to Bounce Him on His Skull\u2019<\/h2>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s never fought someone as long and tall as me,\u201d Garry said on
\nInstagram. \u201cHe\u2019s not fought someone as fast as me. He\u2019s never
\nfought someone that has the distance management, the boxing
\ncapability, the head movement that I do. And also takedown defense.
\nHe might get me down, I hope he does. Because I want to prove to
\nthe world that he can\u2019t submit me. I want to prove to the world
\nthat I can get back up. I want to prove to the world that I can
\nbeat him in his own world. I don\u2019t care how long he has trained in
\nthat area. I don\u2019t care if he\u2019s an internationally recognized
\nmaster of sambo or not. I\u2019m going to bounce him on his skull. I\u2019m
\ngoing to take his title. I\u2019m gonna take his throne. And I\u2019m gonna
\nfinish that consecutive win streak. And I\u2019ll always be the guy that
\nstopped history from happening.\u201d <\/p>\n

Makhachev (28-1) defended his lightweight title four times, the
\nmost in the division\u2019s history, before moving up to welterweight,
\nwhere he dominantly dethroned Jack
\nDella Maddalena<\/a> to win the title this past November. Meanwhile,
\nGarry (17-1) went undefeated in his first eight
\nUFC<\/a> outings before suffering his lone professional loss against
\nfellow welterweight contender Shavkat
\nRakhmonov<\/a>. \u201cThe Future\u201d has since rebounded with wins over
\nCarlos
\nPrates<\/a> and Belal
\nMuhammad<\/a>. <\/p>\n
