Magomedov (16-1) is scheduled to fight Michel
\nPereira<\/a> (32-14) at UFC
\nBaku<\/a> on June 27 at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku,
\nAzerbaijan. Pereira\u2019s training partner, Strickland, was recently
\nseen helping by trying to imitate Magomedov\u2019s flashy style in
\nsparring. <\/p>\n

While Magomedov thinks it was somewhat of an imitation, he doesn\u2019t
\nthink Strickland came very close. Magomedov calls Strickland an
\n\u201cinteresting\u201d fighter, whose title win over Khamzat
\nChimaev<\/a> came as a surprise to \u201cShara Bullet.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2018A Pale Imitation\u2019<\/h2>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think he can do it like me,\u201d Magomedov told Red Corner
\nMMA. \u201cBut it was kind of an imitation. A pale imitation, though. It
\nwould be very different in an actual fight\u2026 Sean
\nStrickland<\/a> is actually a very interesting fighter. I always get
\nsurprised when fighters like him become champions. But he is a hard
\nworker, a native talent. I just want to ask my fans, \u2018Don\u2019t you
\nthink I could beat Sean
\nStrickland<\/a> and become the champion?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Magomedov is currently 5-1 in the
\nUFC<\/a>, with his lone professional loss coming against Michael
\nPage<\/a>. Magomedov has since rebounded from that loss with a
\ndecision win over Marc-Andre
\nBarriault<\/a>. Meanwhile, Pereira recently rebounded from a
\nthree-fight slump with an upset win over Zachary
\nReese<\/a>. <\/p>\n

“I always get surprised when fighters like him become champions,
