After finishing Melissa
\nMullins<\/a> in her third Octagon appearance at
\nUFC Fight Night 279<\/a>, the 10-time Brazilian jiu-jitsu champion
\nnow boasts an 8-0 record in MMA. As she climbs the bantamweight
\nrankings, \u201cLady GOAT\u201d wasted no time calling out her next foe,
\nsurging Argentinian contender Ailin
\nPerez<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI came to be the champion of the division, the new face of Brazil
\nin women’s MMA,\u201d Mesquita said. \u201cI want to finish the rankings as
\n[high] as possible because I want to fight for the belt in
\n2027.\u201d<\/p>\n

A Natural Rivalry<\/h2>\n

Shortly after leaving the Octagon, Mesquita explaned her callout In
\nan interview with UFC Brazil reporter Evelyn Rodrigues.<\/p>\n

“I find Ailin disrespectful and it could be a perfect match, since
\nBrazil and Argentina already has a normal rivalry,\u201d Mesquita said.
\n\u201cThe Octagon is no place to be twerking and showing your butt. I’m
\nready to face her and show the \u2018Lady GOAT\u2019 mentality.\u201d<\/p>\n
