Hokit took on Derrick
\nLewis<\/a> in a heavyweight matchup earlier this month at
\nUFC White House<\/a>. Hokit put on a dominant display en route to a
\nsecond-round knockout win over \u201cThe Black Beast.\u201d Hokit surprised
\neveryone with a bizarre armbar attempt late in the first round.
\nHokit\u2019s armbar technique was lacking, which led to him being unable
\nto complete the submission.  <\/p>\n

Hokit claims he wasn\u2019t sincerely looking for a finish with the
\narmbar attempt. However, Hokit certainly knows how to finish an
\narmbar since he earned his sophomore professional win with the
\nmove. Hokit claims he wanted to make an impact by knocking out
\nLewis, who has the most knockout wins in
\nUFC<\/a> history. <\/p>\n

\u2018I Didn\u2019t Want the Fight to End Like That\u2019<\/h2>\n

\u201cGod forbid someone have a little fun in the cage,\u201d Hokit said on
\n“The Ariel Helwani Show\u201d<\/a> \u201cI already have an
\narmbar finish in my career, and I don’t know, submitting Derrick at
\nthe White House\u2014I don’t think that would have sat right with me.
\nThe armbar entry was phenomenal, but I was going to see if he was
\njust going to panic tap… I didn’t want the fight to end like
\nthat, and I wanted to knock out the knockout artist. You know, that
\nwas where my mind was at.\u201d
