\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> light heavyweights who want to
\ntest Abdul-Rakhman
\nYakhyaev<\/a> figures to grow even shorter given his latest
\nperformance.<\/p>\n

The fast-rising Turkish contender kept his perfect professional
\nrecord intact and did so in sensational fashion, as he wiped out
\nJulius
\nWalker<\/a> with punches in the first round of their featured
\n
\nUFC Fight Night 280<\/a> prelim on Saturday at the National
\nGymnastics Arena in Baku, Azerbaijan. Yakhyaev (10-0, 3-0 UFC)
\nslammed the door just eight seconds into Round 1, authoring the
\nsecond-fastest finish in the history of the 205-pound weight
\nclass.<\/p>\n

Walker (7-3, 1-3 UFC) never stood a chance.
\nYakhyaev felled the Xtreme Couture rep with a devastating overhand
\nright on the counter, pounced with follow-up punches and drew the
\ncurtain with an almost dismissive disdain<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, American Top Team\u2019s Nursulton
\nRuziboev<\/a> put Andrey
\nPulyaev<\/a> to sleep with a vicelike rear-naked choke in the first
\nround of their middleweight encounter.
\nPulyaev (10-4, 1-3 UFC) lost consciousness 3:58 into Round 1,
\nlosing for the second time in as many appearances<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

<\/center>
Ruziboev (37-9-2, 5-1 UFC) dragged the Alexander
\nShlemenko<\/a> prot\u00e9g\u00e9 to the canvas, jumped to his back and married
\nsteady ground-and-pound with repeated submission attempts. His
\nefforts generated the desired opening, as he weaved his arms into
\nplace, cut off blood flow to the brain and waited for Pulyaev to go
\nlimp.<\/p>\n

The 32-year-old Ruziboev has strung together three consecutive
\nvictories.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, former Hex Fight Series champion Kaan Ofli<\/a>
\ndismissed Javier
\nReyes<\/a> with a mounted arm-triangle choke in the second round of
\ntheir featherweight tilt. Reyes (23-5, 1-1 UFC), who entered the
\ncage on the strength of a three-fight winning streak, made his
\nunceremonious exit 4:16 into Round 1.<\/p>\n

Ofli (14-4-1, 3-2 UFC) successfully navigated the Colombian\u2019s
\nenormous seven-inch reach advantage, peppering him with well-timed
\ncounters and stout leg kicks.
\nHe ultimately decked Reyes with a sharp one-two, swarmed with
\npunches and hammerfists, cinched the choke in full mount and
\nelicited the tapout<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

It was the seventh first-round finish of Ofli\u2019s career.<\/p>\n

Deeper into the prelims, \u201cThe Ultimate Fighter\u201d Season 33 winner
\nDaniil
\nDonchenko<\/a> dispatched Theodor
\nBerggren<\/a> with a head kick and follow-up punches in the second
\nround of their welterweight affair. A late-notice fill-in for
\nAndreas
\nGustafsson<\/a>, Berggren (8-4, 0-1 UFC) clocked out 1:35 into Round
\n2.<\/p>\n

Donchenko (14-2, 3-0 UFC) zeroed in on the organizational newcomer
\nwith low kicks and brutal body shots in the first round, slowly but
\nsurely immobilizing the Swede.
\nThe emerging Tiger Muay Thai star floored Berggren with a head kick
\nroughly 90 seconds into the second period, gave chase and cut loose
\nwith a violent volley of punches to seal the deal<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The 24-year-old Donchenko has won seven fights in a row, five of
\nthem finishes.<\/p>\n

Finally, former UAE Warriors champion Tahir
\nAbdullayev<\/a> put away the previously unbeaten Renovacao Fight
\nTeam prospect Jefferson
\nNascimento<\/a> with punches in the third round of their
\nwelterweight pairing.
\nAbdullayev (20-3, 1-0 UFC) brought it to a close 4:28 into Round
\n3<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Neither man offered much in terms of meaningful offense ahead of
\nthe stoppage. Abdullayev grew frustrated with the Brazilian\u2019s
\nincessant movement\u2014he flashed a middle finger at him in the first
\nround\u2014but turned up the heat near the end of the middle stanza.
\nNascimento (13-1, 0-1 UFC) picked up his pace in Round 3 but left
\nhimself open for takedowns and started to absorb some significant
\nground-and-pound. Abdullayev eventually increased the intensity of
\nhis punches, prompting referee Jim Perdios to intervene.<\/p>\n

Abdullayev, 29, has rattled off five straight victories.<\/p>\n

In other action, Farman
\nHasanov<\/a> (5-0, 1-0 UFC) called on repeated takedowns and
\noutlasted Eric Nolan<\/a>
\n(8-5, 0-2 UFC) to a unanimous decision in their three-round
\nfeatherweight confrontation, as he earned 30-27 marks from all
\nthree cageside judges; and Jean
\nMatsumoto<\/a> (18-2, 4-2 UFC) overcame a gnarly cut to his left
\neyebrow and posted a unanimous decision\u201429-28, 29-28, 29-28\u2014against
\nBekzat
\nAlmakhan<\/a> (12-4, 1-3 UFC) in their three-round bantamweight
