Jones (28-1), who has had multiple run-ins with the law, assures
\nPoirier (30-10) that this too shall pass. Considering Poirier\u2019s
\nretirement from MMA last year, \u201cBones\u201d advises the former
\nUFC<\/a> lightweight title challenger to keep himself occupied.<\/p>\n

A Difficult Adjustment<\/h2>\n

Jones, who also retired from the sport last year, says it feels
\nlike retiring from the military. The former UFC double champ
\nappreciates Poirier\u2019s honestly about his mental state.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean no, but I do respect the fact that he\u2019s being honest about
\nhis mental state. I swear in some weird way retiring from the UFC
\nalmost feels like retiring from the military or something. There\u2019s
\nso many similarities. I have conversations with my special forces
\nbuddies about this type of stuff all the time, it\u2019s a huge change
\nor at least it can be.\u201d<\/p>\n
