\nFiziev<\/a> was struggling with his vision moments before he put the
\ndecisive finishing sequence in motion in the UFC
\nBaku<\/a> headliner.<\/p>\n

\u201cAtaman\u201d rocked and dropped Manuel
\nTorres<\/a> with a spinning wheel kick, then put his reeling foe
\naway with a barrage of punches 15 seconds into Round 2 of their
\nlightweight clash on Saturday at National Gymnastics Arena in Baku,
\nAzerbaijan. Fiziev\u2019s spectacular finish seems even better
\nconsidering the fact that he was dealing with extenuating
\ncircumstances in that moment.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis guy is strong, he [has] reach, long hands, power,\u201d Fiziev
\nsaid in an interview with the UFC. \u201c\u2026[His] last jab on my eye, I
\ndidn’t see anything when I opened my both eyes, but when I closed
\nmy left eye, I see good.<\/p>\n

\u201cBeginning of the second round, I didn’t see anything. I opened my
\ntwo eyes, I didn’t see anything, like everything double. I think,
\nOK, I’m just throwing spinning back kick because I don’t need the
\neye to see that, and I throw it like, \u2018Oh, man.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

It was a much-needed performance for Fiziev, who had lost four of
\nhis last five Octagon appearances and was coming off a second-round
\nTKO loss to Mauricio
\nRuffy<\/a> at UFC 325 in January.<\/p>\n

\u201cI’m feeling amazing, man. After this loss in Australia, [to] come
\nback like that, I feel good, I feel great,\u201d he said. \u201cZero
\npressure, zero pressure.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt’s a very special win, of course. It’s a very special win in my
\ncareer, because it’s a black line, \u2026last five fights, four lost,
\nand only two bonuses in all of these five losses. And now it’s the
\nthird one, so I’m happy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Eyeing the BMF<\/h2>\n

Looking ahead, Fiziev has interest in fighting for the BMF title,
\nwhich is currently held by Charles
\nOliveira<\/a>. Fiziev was slated to face the popular Brazilian last
\nOctober at UFC Rio before he was forced to withdraw from the card
\ndue to injury.<\/p>\n

\u201cHonestly, I believe [in the] UFC, I believe [in matchmaker] Sean
\nShelby. I want to fight BMF maybe, because we already have some
\nstory with Charles, and I can’t get it last time,\u201d he said. \u201cBut if
\nnot, I don’t care.\u201d<\/p>\n
