\n330<\/a> on Aug. 15 at the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia,
\nPennsylvania. Jones is picking Makhachev to successfully defend his
\ntitle against Garry. \u201cBones\u201d believes Makhachev\u2019s elite wrestling
\nwill give him an advantage over Garry. Jones also considers
\nMakhachev one of the greatest fighters of all time alongside
\nhimself.<\/p>\n

Wrestling Over Everything<\/h2>\n

\u201cI’m going with Islam because he has a wrestling background, and
\nit’s very hard to beat wrestlers,\u201d Jones told Sport24ru<\/a>. \u201cHe may just be one of the greatest
\nfighters in the world. Right now, it’s me and maybe him. So, I
\nencourage him to keep going.\u201d<\/p>\n

Makhachev (28-1) defended the lightweight title four times, the
\nmost in the division\u2019s history, before moving up to welterweight.
\nMakhachev dominantly dethroned Jack
\nDella Maddalena<\/a> to win the welterweight title last year.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Garry (17-1) has 10 UFC wins while only losing to fellow
\ncontender Shavkat
\nRakhmonov<\/a>. The Irishman has since rebounded with wins over
\nBelal
\nMuhammad<\/a> and Carlos
\nPrates<\/a>. <\/p>\n
