\nAspinall<\/a> and Renato “Moicano” Carneiro<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Considered one of Brazil’s biggest MMA influencers, \u201cMoicano\u201d
\npublished a video on his Youtube channel criticizing Dean’s failure
\nto deduct points from Sharabutdin
\nMagomedov<\/a> after the Russian repeatedly grabbed Michel
\nPereira<\/a>\u2019s hair during their bout at UFC
\nBaku<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Three weeks in a row where Herb Dean has interfered with results:
\nfirst at
\nUFC White House<\/a>, then in the ‘Lok Dog’ vs. Andre Fili<\/a>
\nfight fight last week, and now in the Michel vs. Shara fight. The
\ntruth is this guy manipulates results. How does he not deduct a
\npoint? The Russian committed an eye poke and grabbed Michel’s hair
\nthree times, yet he did nothing. If he had punished [Magomedov for
\nthe infractions], the result would have been a draw. Once again, he
\nmade a huge mistake and interfered with a fight’s outcome,\u201d
\nCarneiro said.<\/p>\n

United in Criticism<\/h2>\n

Tom
\nAspinall<\/a>\u2014who the previous week had blamed the referee for
\nPoatan’s loss to Ciryl Gane<\/a>
\nfollowing a series of illegal blows\u2014also took to Instagram Stories
\nto comment on the fouls committed by Magomedov against Pereira at
\nUFC Baku. He suggested that, in his view, MMA rules are being
\ntreated more like guidelines than actual regulations.<\/p>\n

“MMA doesn’t have ‘rules’ anymore. They’re just ‘suggestions’,”
\nAspinall wrote.<\/p>\n

Pereira, who has been Dean’s most vocal critic, seized on the wave
\nof criticism and commented on a post by Pereira: “Herb Dean is a
\ncoward!\u201d<\/p>\n
