Yan, the current
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> bantamweight champion, and
\nformer champion Merab
\nDvalishvili<\/a> are expected to square off in a trilogy fight next,
\nand O\u2019Malley, who has a win over Yan, wants to take on the
\nRussian.<\/p>\n

Sean O\u2019Malley Talks Petr Yan Rematch After UFC Freedom 250<\/h2>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been hearing Petr and Merab are going to fight for a long
\ntime \u2014 still nothing booked,\u201d O\u2019Malley told Kamaru
\nUsman<\/a> on the Pound
\n4 Pound podcast<\/a>. \u201cI don\u2019t know if it\u2019s Merab\u2019s nose or Petr\u2019s
\nback. It sucks. One of those guys is obviously holding it up, and I
\ndon\u2019t think it\u2019s Merab. I think Merab would fight with his arm cut
\noff. So, I think Petr is probably just dealing with some
\ninjuries.\u201d<\/p>\n

O\u2019Malley admitted that if Yan is dealing with injuries, he should
\ntake more time before facing Merab. \u201cYou can\u2019t fight Merab on
\nhalf-a**ed camps,\u201d he added. \u201cYou need a full, full camp. You need
\nto be fully healthy to fight Merab, and Petr probably knows
\nthat.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut also, if they want me vs. Petr next, I do think me vs. Petr
\nYan 2, rematch, is the biggest fight in bantamweight history,\u201d he
\nsaid. \u201cI think it\u2019s the biggest one you could possibly make right
\nnow, and the UFC would be risking it by making Merab vs. Petr.\u201d<\/p>\n
