\nFehr<\/a> was overwhelmed with emotions after his successful

\nProfessional Fighters League<\/a> debut.<\/p>\n

Fehr (4-0) took on Daniel
\nBzdigian<\/a> in a bantamweight tilt at
\nPFL San Diego<\/a> last weekend. Fehr took just two minutes to take
\nBzdigian down and earn a submission win with a brabo choke in his
\nPFL debut. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe Don\u201d subsequently explained why he was emotionally shouting
\ninside the cage, celebrating his win. Fehr revealed that he hasn\u2019t
\nbeen to his home in Ohio in six years. The 31-year-old further
\nrevealed that he used to be an opioid addict, although he never
\ninformed his family about his addiction. Fehr was in withdrawal
\nfrom his addiction when he came to Las Vegas from Ohio with $4.
\nHaving now become someone for his parents to be proud of means a
\nlot to Fehr.<\/p>\n

Turning His Life Around<\/h2>\n

\u201cI haven\u2019t been home in six years,\u201d Fehr said in a post-fight
\ninterview (via Home of Fight). \u201cI came to Vegas with $4 in my
\nwallet. I\u2019ve never told anyone in my family this, but I was
\naddicted to opioids. I was out of my mind; I was suicidal. I tried
\nto take my own life so many times. So when I left Ohio with $4 in
\nmy wallet, I was withdrawing from opioids, and I was out of my
\nmind. I went to Vegas to reinvent myself. I was in a lot of pain\u2026
\nNow not being an eyesore to my community and bring them pride, I
\nwould trade my soul for that over and over again. I would almost
\ngive up my own salvation to make people in my town proud of me.
\nEspecially my mother and father, they deserve it. They did a great
\njob raising me, and I just didn\u2019t know how to listen. I just had
\nsomething wrong with me.\u201d <\/p>\n

Fehr has now finished three of his four professional wins, while
\nanother was overturned to a no-contest due to a failed drug
\ntest. <\/p>\n
