\nfacing for his recent seminar during his United Kingdom
\ntour. <\/p>\n

Pereira (13-3) recently faced criticism for allegedly refusing
\nphotographs during a paid meet-and-greet session at a seminar in
\nKeighley, England. However, the organizers for the event, Joyagear,
\nrecently issued a statement defending Pereira. As per Joyagear,
\nPereira was only informed about a one-hour seminar, which he
\ndelivered. The organizers claim that \u201cPoatan\u201d was not informed
\nabout autograph signings or individual photographs after the
\nsession. The organizers promise to fully refund the meet-and-greet
\nticket holders.<\/p>\n

In Defense of \u2018Poatan\u2019<\/h2>\n

The full statement from Joyagear via Instagram is as follows:<\/p>\n

We would like to address the events that took place during the
\nAlex
\nPereira<\/a> UK tour. As the event organizer, Joyagear takes full
\nresponsibility for the organization, logistics, communication, and
\nagreed deliverables surrounding these events.<\/i><\/p>\n

Alex
\nPereira<\/a> trusted Joyagear to organize and manage the tour
\naccordingly. Unfortunately, due to miscommunication and
\nshortcomings on our side, the agreed deliverables were not
\ncommunicated clearly to Alex. As a result, changes had to be made
\nto parts of the events. We want to make one thing very clear:
\nAlex
\nPereira<\/a> was not at fault.<\/p>\n

Alex was informed by Joyagear that the Keighley event consisted of
\na one-hour seminar, which he delivered in full. He was not late,
\nand he completed the seminar exactly as it had been communicated to
\nhim. Alex was not informed that autograph signings, individual
\nphotos, or additional time after the seminar had been advertised or
\nexpected. He acted based on the information provided to him by
\nJoyagear.<\/p>\n

We also want to clarify the position of the Keighley seminar
\norganizer. The organizer was fully informed of the seminar
\nduration, the time Alex would be present, and the deliverables that
\nhad been discussed with Joyagear. It is therefore very unfortunate
\nthat public statements have been made suggesting that Alex
\nPereira<\/a> was responsible for the issues surrounding the event.
\nWe want to state clearly that he was not.<\/p>\n

To everyone affected, we sincerely apologize for our
\nmiscommunication and for the inconvenience this has caused.<\/p>\n

As a result: All Meet & Greet ticket holders are receiving a full
\nrefund.Seminar attendees who did not receive the advertised photo
\nopportunity and\/or autograph have also been refunded
\naccordingly.<\/p>\n

We have successfully organized many athlete events over the years,
\nand this is not the standard we hold ourselves to. We will
\ncarefully review what went wrong, improve our internal
\ncommunication, and do everything possible to ensure situations like
\nthis do not happen again. The remaining events on the tour will
\ncontinue as planned, and we will work tirelessly to deliver the
\nexperience our supporters deserve. Thank you for your patience,
\nunderstanding, and continued support.<\/p>\n
