Josh
\nEmmett<\/a> is looking to return to the lightweight division as he
\nenters the twilight of his career.<\/p>\n

The 41-year-old started his run in the
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> competing at 155 pounds before
\ndropping down and committing to featherweight back in 2017. Now on
\na three-fight losing streak, the American is eyeing a move back
\nup.<\/p>\n

Josh Emmett reflects on \u2018crazy\u2019 weight cut at
\nfeatherweight<\/h2>\n

Emmett went as far as competing for the interim featherweight
\nchampionship, but he\u2019s now lost five of his last six bouts. He
\nrecently admitted that the weight cut is \u201ccrazy\u201d and revealed his
\ndesire to switch to the lightweight division.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll definitely fight before the end of the year,\u201d Emmett told
\n
\nMMAFighting<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m enjoying some things that I\u2019ve wanted to do
\nfor a while, so I\u2019m doing that right now. Maybe anywhere from
\nOctober to early December, and I might go back up to 155. Just that
\nthe cut to \u201845 is just crazy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s so hard, and I think it is affecting my performances. I think
\nfor my next fight, you guys will see me back at lightweight. I\u2019m a
\nfan of the sport, and I think the average male size is anyone from
\nthe featherweight to the lightweight, so I feel like those are the
\nmost competitive divisions,\u201d Emmett added.<\/p>\n

\nMitchell<\/a>, Dan Ige<\/a>, and
\nCalvin
\nKattar<\/a> at featherweight. His lone championship bid in the UFC
\ncame against Yair
