McGregor (22-6) is set to return after a five-year hiatus from the

\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> in a welterweight matchup
\nagainst Max
\nHolloway<\/a> (27-9) in the main event of the upcoming numbered
\nevent on July 11 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Meanwhile,
\nPimblett (23-4) co-headlines the card in a lightweight bout against
\nBenoit St.

Paddy Pimblett wants Conor McGregor matchup at UFC\u2019s MSG
\nevent<\/h2>\n

Pimblett wants to fight again before the end of the year. If
\nMcGregor defeats Holloway, he wants to face the Irish superstar on
\nthe UFC\u2019s annual card at Madison Square Garden in New York,
\ntypically scheduled for November. While the Liverpool native
\ncompetes at lightweight, he is willing to move up to 170 pounds to
\nface the former two-division champion.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe perfect fight for me would be Conor\u2026 Mad being on the same
\ncard as Conor McGregor. The biggest name in the sport, it\u2019s nice
\nfor him to be back. This is probably going to be the most-watched
\nUFC of all time,\u201d Pimblett said in a recent interview. \u201cI\u2019m not
\ngonna be the star of the show on this one, definitely not. Conor
\nis. But probably gonna be the second star of the show. If Conor
\nwins and I win\u2026 I wanna fight again before the end of the year.
\nI\u2019ll fight him at welterweight, in MSG?\u201d<\/p>\n

With both being former
\nCage Warriors<\/a> champions, Pimblett was initially compared to
\nMcGregor when he joined the UFC. While \u201cThe Baddy\u201d initially
\nwelcomed the comparisons, he has since grown into a star in his own
\nright. He was riding a seven-fight winning streak before he came up
\nshort in an interim lightweight title fight against Justin
\nGaethje<\/a> this past January.<\/p>\n
