Dustin
\nPoirier<\/a> wants to make amends for the behavior that led to his
\narrest.<\/p>\n

Poirier (30-10) was recently arrested at the Hartsfield-Jackson
\nAtlanta International Airport after threatening to fight a police
\nofficer and being denied permission to board a flight. He was
\nadmittedly drunk when he approached the airport desk. The former
\n
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> lightweight believes the desk
\nagents denied him entry and called the police after seeing him
\nintoxicated.<\/p>\n

Dustin Poirier\u2019s airport arrest and apology to the police
\nofficer involved<\/h2>\n

Poirier recently issued an apology to the desk agents with whom he
\ngot into an altercation. \u201cThe Diamond\u201d has also asked his lawyer to
\nacquire the contact details of the police officer he threatened to
\nfight and called a racial slur.<\/p>\n

Poirier now wants to contact the officer to let him know what a
\ngreat job he did. He admits that things could have taken a turn for
\nthe worse if it hadn\u2019t been for the police officer\u2019s
\nprofessionalism. The former interim lightweight champion said on
\n\u201cThe Diary of a CEO\u201d podcast:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe desk agent might have seen I was intoxicated. It was like,
\n\u2018Nah, you can\u2019t get on this plane.\u2019 That might have what started
\nit. But I do want to apologize to those desk agents, whoever they
\nare. And the police, for having to put up with me. I actually asked
\na lawyer in Atlanta that I\u2019ve been working with if he can please
\ngive me that officer\u2019s information, his address. I want to write
\nhim a letter. His cell phone, if I can call him, just to tell him
\nhow great of a job he did dealing with a person in that condition,
\nhow professional he was. He\u2019s incredible\u2026 it could have been so
\nmuch worse.\u201d<\/p>\n
