\nMcGregor<\/a> has a narrow path to victory against Max
\nHolloway<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Thirteen years after their featherweight clash in the
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a>, McGregor and Holloway are now
\nset to run it back at welterweight. They\u2019ll collide at
\nUFC 329<\/a> on Saturday, July 11 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
\nSonnen has now revealed how the Irishman can emerge victorious.<\/p>\n

Chael Sonnen questions Conor McGregor\u2019s chances in Max Holloway
\nrematch<\/h2>\n

Ahead of the upcoming numbered event, Sonnen praised McGregor for
\nattempting a comeback after his in-cage leg break back in 2021, but
\nacknowledged the challenge awaiting the former two-division
\nchampion.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, I’m inspired right now by Conor McGregor and I don’t think
\nthere’s very many famous elitist millionaires that could inspire
\nme, but he is really\u2026 He’s tackling something big here,\u201d Sonnen
\nsaid during a recent preview on Paramount+. \u201cFirst off, that’s the
\nworst injury that I’ve ever seen. I’ve seen three other guys have
\nit, but I’ve never seen an injury worse than this. He’s returning
\nto a weight class outside of his prime, which historically has
\nnever worked out successfully, even in the boxing world.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sonnen then pointed out that McGregor also signed up for five
\nrounds, which was difficult even when the former two-division
\nchampion was younger and injury-free. The former UFC title
\nchallenger also highlighted the switch in weight class, claiming
\nthat \u201cworking less hard now\u201d isn\u2019t a good sign in the lead-up to a
\ncomeback fight following a lengthy hiatus.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf somebody tells me they think Conor’s going to win, what I’m
\nhearing is they think Conor’s going to knock him out,\u201d Sonnen
\nadded, revealing how an early knockout is McGregor\u2019s only likely
\nroute to victory. \u201cAnd if somebody’s telling me they think Conor’s
\ngoing to knock him out, what I’m hearing is they think he’s going
\nto do it in the first round. That’s probably the most likely
\nway.\u201d<\/p>\n
