\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> lightweights Green and McKinney
\nare set to collide at
\nUFC 329<\/a> on July 11 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The former
\nrecently revealed that he was with the latter a week before the
\nbooking came together and was surprised to find that \u201cT.Wrecks\u201d
\naccepted the fight.<\/p>\n

King Green details how Terrance McKinney fight came to
\nfruition<\/h2>\n

Green considers McKinney a \u201chomie,\u201d which is why he was surprised
\nat the matchup. Paying heed to Nate Diaz<\/a>\u2019s
\nadvice, the 39-year-old didn\u2019t want to fight someone he considers a
\nfriend. However, despite Green conveying the same to McKinney, the
\nrising 155-pounder\u2019s acceptance of the fight contract has seemingly
\noffended the UFC veteran.<\/p>\n

\u201cTerrance McKinney was supposed to be my homie. I was hanging out
\nwith Terrance a week before we took the fight,\u201d Green said on an
\nepisode of UFC 329\u2019s \u201cEmbedded\u201d video series. \u201cAnd Terrance, I\u2019m
\ntelling him like, \u2018We\u2019re homies\u2026\u2019 Nate Diaz broke it down to me —
\nyou ain\u2019t supposed to fight the homies. I\u2019m like, \u2018Bro, I thought
\nwe was homies. What\u2019s up? Why are you trying to fight me?\u2019 He ended
\nup texting me like, \u2018Hey, they still want me to take the
\nfight.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Green now believes McKinney sees this as a favorable matchup, which
\nis motivating him going into UFC 329. \u201cI was like, \u2018Let\u2019s do it,
\nbro.\u2019 Maybe you think this is an easy fight. Maybe you think I\u2019m
\nsome sucker or some bitch, we\u2019re gonna fight. Let\u2019s go fight then.
\nLet\u2019s get it cracking,\u201d Green added.<\/p>\n

Green (35-17) is currently on a three-fight win streak with two
\nfinishes. Meanwhile, McKinney (18-8) has finished all 8 of his UFC
\nwins in the first round and has never seen the judges\u2019 scorecards
\nin his entire career.<\/p>\n
