Elisha
\nEllison<\/a> isn\u2019t intimidated by the hype behind Gable
\nSteveson<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Steveson will make his highly anticipated
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> debut against Ellison at
\n
\nUFC 329<\/a> on July 11 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The Olympian
\nis a -2500 favorite on some sportsbooks going into his UFC debut.
\nThe underdog, however, sees this as an opportunity to make a name
\nfor himself.<\/p>\n

Elisha Ellison reacts to Gable Steveson’s training with Jon
\nJones<\/h2>\n

Ellison believes the 2021 Tokyo Olympics wrestling gold medalist is
\nstill inexperienced for a promotion like the UFC. While he isn\u2019t
\nunderestimating Steveson, he believes he can shock the MMA world
\nwith a massive upset at UFC 329.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnybody coming in, especially to a big promotion in the UFC, 3-0,
\nyou would be a fool not to call him green. It doesn\u2019t mean I\u2019m
\nwriting him off,\u201d Ellison said at UFC 329 media day. \u201cHe obviously
\nhas a tremendous competition experience in the Olympics, collegiate
\nwrestling\u2026 When I go out there and beat Gable Steveson, it will
\nmean the world.\u201d<\/p>\n

If Steveson\u2019s wrestling pedigree isn\u2019t intimidating enough, he has
\nalso been training with Jon Jones<\/a> in
\npreparation. However, Ellison is unfazed as \u201cBones\u201d won\u2019t be
\nfighting on behalf of Steveson. \u201cJon Jones isn\u2019t in the Octagon.
\nSo, it doesn\u2019t matter to me,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Ellison (5-2) has never seen the second round of a fight in his
\nseven career outings. The former police officer is coming off a
\nfirst-round knockout loss in his UFC debut last year. Meanwhile,
\nSteveson (3-0) has finished all three of his fights in the first
\nround.<\/p>\n
