Conor
\nMcGregor<\/a> doesn\u2019t harbor any ill will towards Islam
\nMakhachev<\/a>.<\/p>\n

McGregor recently listed his greatest fighters of all time in the
\n
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a>. He ranked himself as the
\ngreatest while slamming the legacy of Makhachev\u2019s friend and
\nmentor, Khabib
\nNurmagomedov<\/a>. However, the former two-division champion had
\nnothing bad to say about Makhachev.<\/p>\n

Why Conor McGregor ranks Islam Makhachev ahead of Khabib
\nNurmagomedov and Daniel Cormier<\/h2>\n

McGregor believes Makhachev ranks above Nurmagomedov on the GOAT
\nlist. He argues that Makhachev not only has titles in two weight
\nclasses, but also more finishes in the UFC than \u201cThe Eagle.\u201d The
\nIrishman has him above Daniel
\nCormier<\/a> as well.<\/p>\n

While some believe Makhachev is nearing retirement, McGregor
\nbelieves the UFC welterweight champion has a lot left in him.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s above Khabib. Finishes, body of work, both divisions. For
\nsure, he is. Still at it,\u201d he told Complex. \u201cThere\u2019s a lot left in
\nthat boy, and he should recognize that and keep going. I have him
\nabove both his teammates there, Cormier and [Nurmagomedov].\u201d<\/p>\n

While Nurmagomedov (29-0) defended the lightweight title thrice,
\nMakhachev (28-1) broke his record by defending it four times before
\nmoving up to welterweight. The latter dominantly dethroned Jack
\nDella Maddalena<\/a> to win the 170-pound title this past
\nNovember.<\/p>\n

Makhachev is now scheduled to defend his title against Ian Garry<\/a> at
\nUFC
\n330<\/a> on Aug. 15 at Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia.
\nMeanwhile, McGregor (22-6) is set to return in a welterweight
\nmatchup against Max
\nHolloway<\/a> (27-9) at
\nUFC 329<\/a> on July 11 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n
