McGregor suffered a knee injury with the very first strike he threw

\nUFC 329<\/a> in Las Vegas. He couldn\u2019t plant both feet properly
\nthereafter and the referee subsequently intervened, calling a halt
\nto the action. Makhachev has now mocked the former two-division

Makhachev has addressed the result of UFC 329\u2019s main event, wherein
\nhis friend and mentor Khabib

\nVolkanovski<\/a> posted his live reaction to the injury on Instagram
\nand Makhachev commented with a laughing emoji underneath.<\/p>\n

\nwelterweight champion then posted on X.<\/p>\n

Notably, McGregor commended Makhachev in the lead-up to UFC 329,
\nranking him above Nurmagomedov and Daniel
\nCormier<\/a>. “Body of work, finishes. I rank him above Khabib and
\nDC. People around him are talking about [retirement], but there’s a
\nlot left in that boy,\u201d he said in an interview.<\/p>\n
