Real American Freestyle has announced a new championship designed

In a new social media post, RAF revealed details about the
\ncompetition. The inaugural championship bout of the new crossover
\nevent will feature Arman
\nTsarukyan<\/a> against former
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> interim champion Colby
\nCovington<\/a>.<\/p>\n

RAF Crossover Championship creates new path for combat sports
\nathletes<\/h2>\n

RAF has introduced the RAF Crossover Championship, developed
\nexclusively for high-profile crossover athletes from combat sports.
\nThe first cruiserweight match will take place at RAF 11 in
\nMilwaukee, featuring Tsarukyan and Covington.<\/p>\n

The crossover will blend elite freestyle wrestling with MMA talent,
\noffering marquee crossover matchups.<\/p>\n

\nCreated exclusively for crossover wrestlers from across the world

\u201cThe first chapter begins in Milwaukee with Arman Tsarukyan vs.
\nColby Covington. The inaugural Cruiserweight Crossover
\nChampionship,\u201d the post further read.<\/p>\n

Tsarukyan enters the matchup with a perfect 6-0 record under the
\nRAF banner, having most recently dominated Kuat
\nKhamitov<\/a> at RAF Georgia. Covington, meanwhile, is unbeaten
\nthrough three RAF appearances, building on an accomplished amateur
\nwrestling background that includes an NJCAA national championship
\nand NCAA Division I All-American honors. The former interim UFC
\nwelterweight champion last edged Chris
\nWeidman<\/a> at RAF 9.<\/p>\n

The event is set for July 18 at 8 p.m. ET in Milwaukee.<\/p>\n
