\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> lightweight champion Justin
\nGaethje<\/a> isn’t interested in running it back with Paddy
\nPimblett<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“The Baddy” emerged as one of the biggest winners at
\nUFC 329<\/a> in Las Vegas and the Brit subsequently made it clear
\nhe\u2019s keen on a rematch with Gaethje, who beat him earlier this
\nyear. However, “The Highlight” is seemingly eyeing other
\nmatchups.<\/p>\n

Justin Gaethje explains why he does not want a Paddy Pimblett
\nrematch<\/h2>\n

Pimblett rebounded from the first loss of his UFC career by
\nsubmitting Benoit St.
\nDenis<\/a> in just 52 seconds. In his post-fight interview, he
\nname-dropped several top-ranked lightweights for his next bout, and
\nGaethje was among his call-outs. The former BMF champion was asked
\nabout the same during his recent appearance on \u201cThe Pat McAfee
\nShow.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cDestined for each other, like, to fight again? No. No, no, no,”
\nGaethje said.<\/p>\n

Gaethje previously teased a potential fight against Conor
\nMcGregor<\/a> if the Irishman emerged victorious against Max
\nHolloway<\/a>. With McGregor\u2019s loss, Gaethje has limited options.
\nNotably, he\u2019s lost to both Holloway and Charles
\nOliveira<\/a>, two fellow fan-favorite 155-pounders also gunning for
\ngold. Meanwhile, Arman
\nTsarukyan<\/a> is the highest-ranked lightweight contender coming
\noff a win.<\/p>\n

Gaethje and Pimblett went the distance at
\nUFC 324<\/a> in January, with the former winning via unanimous
\ndecision. Pimblett isn\u2019t the only lightweight eager to rematch
\nGaethje, as former two-division champion Ilia
\nTopuria<\/a> called for the same in his post-fight statement after
\nlosing to the American at
\nUFC Freedom 250<\/a>.<\/p>\n
