He was a highly touted, undefeated prospect upon joining<br \/>\nthe UFC in 2023. However, the Florida native went 3-5 (1 NC) inside<br \/>\nthe Octagon.<\/p>\n<div id=\"adViAi\">\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2>How Sedriques Dumas went from unbeaten prospect to UFC<br \/>\ndeparture<\/h2>\n<p>Dumas\u2019 UFC journey will be marred by his arrest in April 2025 on<br \/>\nseveral felony charges, including home invasion, battery, and<br \/>\npossession of a weapon by a convicted felon. He never won a fight<br \/>\nin the UFC after his arrest and exits the promotion on a two-fight<br \/>\nlosing streak. Dumas suffered a submission loss to <a rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sherdog.com\/fighter\/Jackson-McVey-349347\">Jackson<br \/>\nMcVey<\/a> in his last UFC outing this past April.<\/p>\n<p>His UFC release comes in the aftermath of his sentencing this past<br \/>\nJune. Three of the five pending charges against Dumas were<br \/>\nreportedly dropped, while \u201cThe Reaper\u201d pleaded no contest to the<br \/>\ntwo remaining charges.<\/p>\n<p>Dumas has been sentenced to six months of community control and 48<br \/>\nmonths of probation.
