\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> middleweight champion Sean
\nStrickland<\/a> is always quick to commend his training partners and
\nhe did so again recently while taking a shot at Khamzat
\nChimaev<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Strickland (31-7) is currently helping Johnny
\nEblen<\/a> prepare for his next bout at
\nAmerican Top Team<\/a> in Florida, where Yaroslav
\nAmosov<\/a> (30-1) trains. He managed to get in some grappling
\nrounds with the Ukrainian welterweight and claims his ground game
\nis superior to Chimaev\u2019s.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe has better grappling than Chimaev,\u201d Strickland said after their
\ntraining session.<\/p>\n

\u201cHard partner, hard champion, but crazy, funny crazy,\u201d Amosov said
\non his YouTube channel.<\/p>\n

Strickland was a massive underdog going into his middleweight title
\nchallenge against Chimaev at
\nUFC 328<\/a> this past May. However, Chimaev was visibly gassed out
\nin the second round and was forced to abandon his wrestling-heavy
\nstyle. Strickland then outworked \u201cBorz\u201d on the feet en route to a
\ndecision win.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Amosov parted ways with Bellator
\nMMA<\/a> after his lone career loss against Jason
\nJackson<\/a> in 2023. He signed with the UFC after a win on the
\nregional circuit and has finished both of his UFC opponents via
\nsubmission so far. His last outing, a submission win over Joel
\nAlvarez<\/a>, was on the Chimaev vs. Strickland undercard.<\/p>\n
