\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> champion Jon Jones<\/a>
\nwould consider competing against Oleksandr Usyk, but not in
\nboxing.<\/p>\n

Usyk vacated his IBA, WBC and WBA heavyweight boxing titles last
\nmonth. However, the Ukrainian legend isn\u2019t hanging up his gloves
\njust yet. Usyk\u2019s advisor, Sergey Lapin, subsequently revealed that
\nthey are considering Jon Jones and Deontay Wilder as potential
\nopponents for one last fight.<\/p>\n

Jon Jones explains why an MMA fight with Oleksandr Usyk
\ninterests him more than boxing<\/h2>\n

While Jones (28-1) isn\u2019t interested in boxing Usyk, he\u2019s open to an
\nMMA bout. “Bones” notes that wrestling is an important part of
\nUsyk\u2019s training regimen and that he\u2019d gladly share the cage with
\nhim.<\/p>\n

Jones doesn\u2019t want to limit his arsenal by entering the squared
\ncircle against Usyk. While he doesn\u2019t consider himself an elite
\nboxer, he also doesn\u2019t think of Usyk as a complete fighter. The
\nAmerican then claimed that he would definitely come out on top if
\nthey fought in a locked room with no rules.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot at all [interested]. Usyk is Usyk, man,\u201d Jones told Ring
\nMagazine. \u201cHe is one of the absolute GOATs of heavyweight boxing. I
\nalso am aware that he does wrestling, and wrestling has been a
\nheavy part of his training for many years, probably why he is so
\ndominant in the clinch. If he would like to test his total combat
\nskills, I would oblige him in that. But to handicap myself by only
\nusing my hands, that\u2019s not the world that I come from\u2026 I\u2019m no
\nboxer. And I don\u2019t consider Usyk to be a complete fighter. I think
\nthe world knows what would happen if we were locked in the same
\nroom.\u201d<\/p>\n
