Kashimura (12-6, 2-2 Rizin) struck first with a head<br \/>\nkick and a left hook, but his attempt to take Sabatello down led to<br \/>\nthe American reversing into top position. Kashimura quickly<br \/>\nscrambled and trapped Sabatello in an inverted triangle choke, but<br \/>\nthe champion was unfazed and he worked his way free. On the feet,<br \/>\nthe <a rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sherdog.com\/organizations\/Bellator-MMA-1960\">Bellator<br \/>\nMMA<\/a> and <a rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sherdog.com\/organizations\/Professional-Fighters-League-12241\"><br \/>\nProfessional Fighters League<\/a> veteran dropped Kashimura with a<br \/>\nright hook and hunted for a finish with soccer kicks and more<br \/>\npunches.<\/p>\n<div id=\"adViAi\">\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p> In the second frame, Kashimura tried to set up another inverted<br \/>\ntriangle choke when the fight hit the mat, but this time Sabatello<br \/>\nwas wise to it and got back to his feet. When Kashimura pulled<br \/>\nguard, Sabatello stayed on top and punched Kashimura\u2019s ribs and<br \/>\nface while preventing him from securing any submissions from the<br \/>\nbottom.<\/p>\n<h2>Sabatello showcases improved striking against Jinnosuke<br \/>\nKashimura<\/h2>\n<p>Kashimura tried to lure Sabatello into a ground fight in Round 3,<br \/>\nand Sabatello was having none of it. Kashimura was forced to stand<br \/>\nup and Sabatello landed a massive right hand&#8211;surely the best punch<br \/>\nof his eight-year career&#8211;and an unconscious Kashimura crashed<br \/>\nbackward to the mat. The official time of the knockout came at the<br \/>\n40-second mark and an elated Sabatello leapt into the air.<br \/>\nKashimura was taken out of the cage on a stretcher. Post-fight, Sabatello expressed his goal to become the first<br \/>\nfighter to make four successful Rizin title defenses within one<br \/>\nyear. He plans to make a quick return to the cage to compete again<br \/>\nat \u201cSuper Rizin 5\u201d in September.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sherdog.com\/fighter\/Karshyga-Dautbek-199149\">Karshyga<br \/>\nDautbek<\/a> (19-3, 1 NC; 5-1, 1 NC Rizin) took a while to get going<br \/>\nin his featherweight co-main event bout against <a rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sherdog.com\/fighter\/Kyohei-Hagiwara-245811\">Kyohei<br \/>\nHagiwara<\/a> (9-12, 1 NC; 8-10, 1 NC Rizin), but all it took was<br \/>\none punch to change the course of the fight in an instant. Dautbek<br \/>\nand Hagiwara circled and traded cautious strikes for the first four<br \/>\nminutes, with neither man committing to any significant offense.<br \/>\nThen, just as the round entered its final minute, Dautbek sent<br \/>\nHagiwara flying to the mat with a left hook. Hagiwara covered up<br \/>\nagainst a corner post as Dautbek followed up with two more punches,<br \/>\nand the bout was stopped at the 4:08 mark of the opening round.<br \/>\nPost-fight, Dautbek expressed interest in challenging for Rizin\u2019s<br \/>\nfeatherweight title. He has not lost a fight for more than seven<br \/>\nyears.<\/p>\n<p>With Rizin FF featherweight champion <a rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sherdog.com\/fighter\/Rajabali-Shaidullaev-365469\">Rajabali<br \/>\nShaidullaev<\/a> in his corner, <a rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sherdog.com\/fighter\/Yrysbek-Tilenov-415680\">Yrysbek<br \/>\nTilenov<\/a> (8-1, 1-0 Rizin) made a successful promotional debut by<br \/>\nstopping standout wrestler <a rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sherdog.com\/fighter\/Shinobu-Ota-378738\">Shinobu Ota<\/a><br \/>\n(8-6, 7-6 Rizin) in the second round of their bantamweight contest.<br \/>\nOta took Tilenov down into mount in the first minute, but Tilenov<br \/>\nscrambled up and tried to suplex Ota, who turned into the clinch.<br \/>\nOta then pulled guard with a guillotine choke and Tilenov escaped<br \/>\nto his feet again. There was a lengthy delay in the second round<br \/>\nafter Ota was kneed in the groin, but the fight continued and<br \/>\nTilenov landed a spinning back kick and two right hands. He backed<br \/>\nOta up with punches and a knee, which caused Ota to stumble and<br \/>\nlose his balance. Tilenov threw one more knee to the side of Ota\u2019s<br \/>\nhead that caused Ota to fall to his back, and the bout was waved<br \/>\noff at the 3:04 mark of Round 2.<\/p>\n<p>The main card kicked off with an entertaining flyweight clash<br \/>\nbetween <a rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sherdog.com\/fighter\/Erson-Yamamoto-211093\">Erson<br \/>\nYamamoto<\/a> (7-8, 6-8 Rizin) and <a rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sherdog.com\/fighter\/Hiroya-Kondo-262395\">Hiroya<br \/>\nKondo<\/a> (10-16-1, 3-6 Rizin). Kondo jumped into a flying<br \/>\nguillotine choke and pulled Yamamoto down to the ground, but<br \/>\nYamamoto freed his neck and struck with elbows before taking<br \/>\nKondo\u2019s back. Kondo pushed Yamamoto away and Yamamoto secured two<br \/>\nmore clinches. He cracked Kondo with a right hook just before the<br \/>\nbell. The southpaw Yamamoto landed left hooks in between scoring<br \/>\ntwo trip takedowns in the second round. Kondo quickly stood up and<br \/>\nboth men battled for position against the cage. Kondo hopped on to<br \/>\nYamamoto\u2019s back in the final round, but that was short-lived and<br \/>\nboth men landed flurries of punches. Kondo reversed a takedown from<br \/>\nYamamoto and the fighters then traded punches and leg kicks for the<br \/>\nfinal minute. All three judges scored the fight for Yamamoto, who<br \/>\ntook home the unanimous decision victory.<\/p>\n<p>After missing weight for his last outing, <a rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sherdog.com\/fighter\/Johnny-Case-28017\">Johnny Case<\/a><br \/>\n(29-10-1, 1 NC; 5-4, 1 NC Rizin) redeemed himself with an<br \/>\nimpressive first-round stoppage victory against <a rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sherdog.com\/fighter\/Tenya-Yoshimura-392947\">Tenya<br \/>\nYoshimura<\/a> (5-4, 0-2 Rizin) at lightweight. Case countered<br \/>\nYoshimura\u2019s leg kicks with lead left hands in the first minute of<br \/>\nthe fight. He landed quick one-twos and then floored Yoshimura with<br \/>\na right uppercut, left hook combo. Case pounced on Yoshimura and<br \/>\nlanded a barrage of punches and hammerfists that caused blood to<br \/>\npour from Yoshimura\u2019s nose and ended the fight at the 3:14 mark of<br \/>\nRound 1.<\/p>\n<p>Avenging a loss from 14 months prior, <a rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sherdog.com\/fighter\/Saori-Oshima-361683\">Saori<br \/>\nOshima<\/a> (17-7, 6-1 Rizin) wasted no time at all in winning her<br \/>\nsuper atomweight rematch against <a rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sherdog.com\/fighter\/Ye-Ji-Lee-201365\">Ye Ji Lee<\/a><br \/>\n(7-9, 0-1 Rizin), who upset Oshima in the pair\u2019s first meeting.<br \/>\nOshima, the reigning Deep and Deep Jewels microweight champion,<br \/>\nlatched on to Lee\u2019s arm and threw her to the mat 90 seconds into<br \/>\nthe fight. Lee immediately sprung back up to her feet and took<br \/>\nOshima\u2019s back, then suplexed her down to the ground. Oshima rolled<br \/>\ninto a kneebar on Lee\u2019s right leg and Lee hastily tapped out while<br \/>\nin great pain. The entire finishing sequence took just five<br \/>\nseconds, and the official time of Oshima\u2019s tapout win came at the<br \/>\n1:40 mark of Round 1.<\/p>\n<p>Former Rizin title challenger <a rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sherdog.com\/fighter\/Si-Woo-Park-262621\">Si Woo Park<\/a><br \/>\n(14-6, 4-1 Rizin) made a successful return to the promotion and won<br \/>\nher super atomweight duel against <a rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sherdog.com\/fighter\/Moeri-Suda-373052\">Moeri Suda<\/a><br \/>\n(15-8, 2-1 Rizin) after three hard-fought rounds. Suda picked Park<br \/>\nup and dumped her to the mat 90 seconds into the fight, but Park<br \/>\nquickly stood back up and she kicked at Suda\u2019s lead leg before<br \/>\ndropping her with a left hook just before the bell. Park fought off<br \/>\nSuda\u2019s takedown attempts in the second round and Suda chased after<br \/>\nher with lunging punches. Park was given a yellow card for<br \/>\noutstretching her fingers, as she had already been verbally warned<br \/>\nmultiple times. As the close fight entered its final round, Suda<br \/>\ncontinued to pursue takedowns and Park stayed on her feet. She<br \/>\nbloodied Suda\u2019s nose, but Suda remained the aggressor and walked<br \/>\nforward throwing punches. Despite the point deduction in the second<br \/>\nround, Park was awarded a unanimous decision victory by the<br \/>\njudges.<\/p>\n<p>Winning for the first time in nearly five years, <a rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sherdog.com\/fighter\/Shoji-Maruyama-18886\">Shoji<br \/>\nMaruyama<\/a> (18-18-1, 2-5 Rizin) earned a unanimous decision<br \/>\nvictory over <a rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sherdog.com\/fighter\/Genji-Umeno-467326\">Genji Umeno<\/a><br \/>\n(2-2, 2-2 Rizin) at a catchweight of 141 pounds. Maruyama took<br \/>\nUmeno down against the cage in the opening round and used punches<br \/>\nto set up a far-side keylock attempt from side control. Umeno<br \/>\ndefended well, but Maruyama closed out the round with punches from<br \/>\nthe top. Maruyama put Umeno on the mat again in round two, and this<br \/>\ntime he trapped him in a leg scissor choke. Umeno scrambled out and<br \/>\nhe also escaped from a belly-down armbar late in the round.<br \/>\nMaruyama fatigued in round three, which allowed Umeno to score with<br \/>\npunches and standing elbows. Maruyama got Umeno down twice in the<br \/>\nsecond half of the round, and he locked on a tight arm-triangle<br \/>\nchoke, but Umeno was saved by the bell. All three judges scored the<br \/>\nfight in favor of the veteran Maruyama.<\/p>\n<p>Rizin mainstay <a rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sherdog.com\/fighter\/Hiroaki-Suzuki-392230\">Hiroaki<br \/>\nSuzuki<\/a> (7-6, 7-6 Rizin) survived two knockdowns and rallied to<br \/>\nstop <a rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sherdog.com\/fighter\/Hyuga-Miyagawa-394993\">Hyuga<br \/>\nMiyagawa<\/a> (7-8, 2-1 Rizin) in the second round of their<br \/>\nfeatherweight matchup. Suzuki was dropped early in the opening<br \/>\nround when the fighters\u2019 heads clashed as Miyagawa landed a right<br \/>\nhook, and Miyagawa quickly followed up with punches on the ground,<br \/>\nbut Suzuki recovered and a clinch battle ensued for most of the<br \/>\nround. Miyagawa knocked Suzuki down in the second stanza with a<br \/>\nstraight right cross. Once more, Suzuki got back to his feet and he<br \/>\ntied Miyagawa up in a clinch. He dropped Miyagawa with four elbows<br \/>\nand then kneed him in the face on the ground for a sensational<br \/>\ncomeback TKO victory at the 3:29 mark of Round 2.<\/p>\n<p>Grachan champion <a rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sherdog.com\/fighter\/Youta-Hayashi-267713\">Youta<br \/>\nHayashi<\/a> (13-9-1, 1-0 Rizin) spoiled the MMA return of <a rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sherdog.com\/fighter\/Shinji-Sasaki-14367\">Shinji<br \/>\nSasaki<\/a> (20-15-3, 0-3 Rizin) in a welterweight bout. Following<br \/>\ntwo lackluster rounds, Hayashi dropped Sasaki in the final round<br \/>\nand avoided a buggy choke attempt from the veteran. Hayashi pushed<br \/>\na seated Sasaki up against the base of the cage and blasted him<br \/>\nwith two vicious knees that badly broke Sasaki\u2019s nose and knocked<br \/>\nhim out cold. The time of the stoppage came at the 2:17 mark of<br \/>\nRound 3.<\/p>\n<p>Stepping in on mere days\u2019 notice, <a rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sherdog.com\/fighter\/Kyohei-Takagi-456178\">Kyohei<br \/>\nTakagi<\/a> (6-1, 2-0 Rizin) extended his winning streak to four by<br \/>\nstopping <a rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sherdog.com\/fighter\/Jae-Hun-Lee-400310\">Jae Hun Lee<\/a><br \/>\n(3-2, 0-1 Rizin) at flyweight. Takagi weathered an early storm of<br \/>\npunches from Lee, including two particularly strong right crosses,<br \/>\nand punched the sides of Lee\u2019s head after taking him down. Lee was<br \/>\nunable to get back to his feet and Takagi continued to score with<br \/>\neffective ground strikes. The second round began with a takedown<br \/>\nfor Lee, but Takagi eventually took Lee\u2019s back and he almost<br \/>\nsecured a finish with punches and hammerfists. In the final round,<br \/>\nLee rocked Takagi with a lunging left hook and then trapped him in<br \/>\na triangle choke.
