Scott
\nCoker<\/a>‘s new global mixed martial arts promotion has further
\nstrengthened its leadership team ahead of its planned 2027
\nlaunch.<\/p>\n

The organization recently announced that longtime sports media
\nexecutive Steve Bornstein has joined its advisory board. Bornstein
\nwill advise the promotion on media strategy, distribution,
\ntechnology, fan engagement and commercial development as the league
\ncontinues preparations for its inaugural season.<\/p>\n

Steve Bornstein joins Scott Coker’s new MMA promotion<\/h2>\n

According to a press release, Bornstein has joined an advisory
\ngroup assembled to help guide the promotion’s global rollout.<\/p>\n

\u201cSteve Bornstein is one of the great builders in the history of
\nsports media,” Coker said in the release. \u201cHis experience
\nconnecting fans to premium live sports is invaluable as we continue
\nto build.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bornstein previously served as the youngest president and CEO in
\nESPN history. He later worked as president and CEO of NFL Network
\nand executive vice president of media for the National Football
\nLeague. Currently, is president of North America at Genius Sports,
\nfocusing on the integration of data, technology, artificial
\nintelligence and interactive products into the sports fan
\nexperience.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe opportunity to advise his new global MMA league at this stage
\nis incredibly exciting,\u201d the veteran executive said about joining
\nCoker\u2019s promotion. \u201cMMA is a global sport with enormous potential,
\nand this group is approaching it with the right combination of
\nambition, respect for the art and the athletes, and a long-term
\nvision.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bornstein joins an advisory board that already includes former
\nTelevisaUnivision CEO Wade Davis, Oaktree Capital co-founder Steve
\nKaplan, former Sony Pictures Television chairman Steve Mosko and
\nVisional founder Swimmy Minami.<\/p>\n
