\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> titleholder soon.<\/p>\n

Walker\u2019s friend and teammate, Bogdan
\nGuskov<\/a>, is scheduled to face Magomed
\nAnkalaev<\/a> in a light heavyweight outing, the main event of
\n
\nUFC Abu Dhabi<\/a> on July 25. Guskov took the fight on 14 days\u2019
\nnotice after Ankalaev\u2019s original opponent, Khalil
\nRountree<\/a>, pulled out due to an injury.<\/p>\n

Walker backs Gor MMA teammate ahead of short-notice fight with
\nMagomed Ankalaev<\/h2>\n

Guskov is a big betting underdog going into the fight against
\nAnkalaev, who is a massive -500 favorite on some sportsbooks.
\nHowever, Walker is backing his friend to pull off a huge upset win
\nover the former light heavyweight champion. The Brazilian
\nheavyweight predicts that Guskov will knock out Ankalaev in the
\nsecond round. He also believes Guskov will go on to become the
\nfirst UFC champion from their gym, Gor
\nMMA<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cBogdan is certainly a talent,\u201d Walker told Red Corner MMA. \u201cHe\u2019s
\nsimply a machine. I think there\u2019s a great chance that he will shock
\nthe world. I think he can definitely win. I think Bogdan is going
\nto be our first UFC champion in Gor MMA. I think he might knock
\nAnkalaev out in the second round… I train with Bogdan every day,
\nso I know what he\u2019s capable of.\u201d<\/p>\n

Guskov (18-3) hasn\u2019t lost in five straight outings since suffering
\na submission loss in his UFC debut in 2023. The Uzbek 205-pounder
\nscored four straight finishes before fighting former champion
\nJan
\nBlachowicz<\/a> to a majority draw this past December. Meanwhile,
\nAnkalaev (20-2) lost his title to Alex
\nPereira<\/a> in their rematch in his last Octagon outing, marking
\nhis second defeat in the UFC after he, too, was finished in his
\npromotional debut back in 2018.<\/p>\n

Walker (15-1) takes on Thomas
\nPetersen<\/a> (11-4) in a heavyweight matchup on the same card. “The
\nFoot Hunter” has finished four straight fights with heel hooks
\nsince suffering his lone professional loss in his UFC debut in
\n2024. Meanwhile, Petersen has consistently alternated between wins
\nand losses in his six UFC outings.<\/p>\n
