\nStories that he plans to transition to mixed martial arts after
\ncompleting two more kickboxing bouts following his latest win in
\nJapan.<\/p>\n

Thian de Vries on what\u2019s next after kickboxing: \u2018MMA is the
\nfuture\u2019<\/h2>\n

The Dutchman, who has enjoyed a meteoric rise in kickboxing,
\nrecently announced that he plans to move to MMA soon. While de
\nVries did not reveal when or with which promotion he intends to
\nmake his MMA debut, he indicated that he first intends to fulfill
\ntwo remaining kickboxing commitments before making the switch.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am so f*cking happy and grateful guys,\u201d the 25-year-old wrote in
\na new Instagram story. \u201cIt’s been a tough year for me with
\ninjuries, a mental struggle sometimes. King of the Jungle is back,
\n2 more kickboxing fights and afterwards full focus on MMA, MMA is
\nthe future.\u201d<\/p>\n

He\u2019ll look to follow in the footsteps of former
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> champions Alex
\nPereira<\/a> and Israel
\nAdesanya<\/a>, who enjoyed successful transitions from kickboxing to
\nMMA.<\/p>\n
