Oleksandr Usyk says plans are beginning to take shape for what he
\nexpects will be the final fight of his storied professional boxing
\ncareer.<\/p>\n

The former undisputed heavyweight champion is targeting one final
\nmarquee bout before calling time on his career. Deontay
\nWilder<\/a> has emerged as the leading candidate, while Dana
\nWhite<\/a>‘s Zuffa Boxing is reportedly among the promotional
\noptions.<\/p>\n

Oleksandr Usyk says his retirement fight could take place in
\nthe United States against Deontay Wilder as Zuffa Boxing emerges as
\nan option<\/h2>\n

Speaking on Daily Mail\u2019s “The Hook” podcast, Usyk revealed that his
\nfarewell bout is expected to take place in the United States
\nagainst a high-profile opponent. He added that his last fight will
\neither take place at the year-end or in early 2027.<\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe in New York, [in a] stadium. It\u2019s going to be against a big
\nname,\u201d Usyk said. \u201cThis could be maybe early next year, or at the
\nend of this year, maybe December.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Ukrainian was also asked whether his final appearance could
\ncome under the Zuffa Boxing banner. While he did not confirm any
\nagreement, he acknowledged that his team is exploring its
\noptions.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt could be Zuffa, but now I don’t think about boxing. I think
\nabout training for boxing,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, according to Usyk’s team director, Sergey
\nLapin<\/a>, Wilder remains the preferred opponent for the
\nheavyweight star’s farewell fight.<\/p>\n

Usyk last fought in April, defeating Rico
\nVerhoeven<\/a> to remain unbeaten as a professional.<\/p>\n
