The championship clash was originally<br \/>\nslated for Sept. 12 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, before being postponed<br \/>\nearlier this month.<\/p>\n<div id=\"adViAi\">\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Canelo Alvarez postpones Christian Mbilli bout after family<br \/>\nissue delays training camp<\/h2>\n<p>According to Alvarez, family matters prevented him from beginning<br \/>\npreparations for the bout, prompting the postponement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSome problems in my family came up,\u201d Alvarez told Ariel Helwani.<br \/>\n\u201cI wasn\u2019t ready to go into training camp because I needed to deal<br \/>\nwith that first.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The fight will remain in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and is expected to<br \/>\nair on DAZN via pay-per-view and the platform&#8217;s Ultimate tier.<br \/>\nAlvarez (63-3-2, 39 KOs) hasn&#8217;t competed since suffering a<br \/>\nunanimous decision loss to Terence Crawford in September 2025, a<br \/>\ndefeat that cost him the undisputed super middleweight<br \/>\nchampionship.<\/p>\n<p>Crawford later retired, elevating Mbilli (29-0-1, 24 KOs) from<br \/>\ninterim champion to full WBC titleholder.
