Alderete took on Smotherman in a bantamweight matchup at
\nFury FC 121<\/a> in Houston. Alderete dropped Smotherman with a head
\nkick before putting him to sleep with a brabo choke in the second
\nround. He followed up with a crotch grab celebration and chirped
\naway at his counterpart, who had to be held back by security.<\/p>\n

The undefeated Fury FC prospect says Smotherman’s corner
\nprovoked his post-fight taunt<\/h2>\n

Alderete recently revealed the details of their verbal exchange
\nafter the fight. Smotherman had claimed to have never heard of
\nAlderete before their bout. The latter made sure to remind the
\nformer UFC fighter that he would never forget the name.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe said he doesn\u2019t know nothing about me,\u201d Alderete told MMA
\nFighting. \u201cHe doesn\u2019t understand the hype\u2026 I ran up, and I told
\nhim, \u2018I told you you were going to remember the name today,\u2019 and I
\nmean he just crashed out. They dragged him out of the cage. He runs
\nback in, tries to sneak attack me, the funniest sh*t of all
\ntime.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alderete also defends his crotch grab celebration following the
\nwin. The 19-year-old claims that Smotherman\u2019s family and friends
\nwere flipping him off during the fight. He doesn\u2019t regret returning
\nthe favor after his win.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese dudes, all his family and friends were standing up on the
\nchair flicking me off,\u201d Alderete added. \u201cOne dude\u2019s raising his
\nstuff at me, right? He\u2019s doing a crotch grab at me\u2026 and I\u2019m like,
\nyou know what? F*ck ya\u2019ll. So, I give a lot of birds, and then I
\ncrotch grab them and oh now I\u2019m the bad guy\u2026 I have no regrets on
\nthat sh*t.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alderete (6-0) is undefeated in six outings, with five finishes
\nsince making his debut last year. Meanwhile, Smotherman (12-8) was
\nreleased from the UFC last month on a three-fight skid. “The
\nBaby-Faced Killer” went viral for passing out after making weight
\nfor his scheduled
\nUFC 324<\/a> bout against Ricky
\nTurcios<\/a>, which was subsequently cancelled.<\/p>\n
