Navajo
\nStirling<\/a> doesn\u2019t think he\u2019s on a collision course with his
\ntraining partners in the
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Stirling (10-0) is scheduled to face his biggest step up in
\ncompetition so far in Jan
\nBlachowicz<\/a> at
\nUFC Belgrade<\/a> on Aug. 1 in Serbia. Stirling accepted the fight
\non less than three weeks\u2019 notice, after the former light
\nheavyweight champion\u2019s original opponent, Bogdan
\nGuskov<\/a>, accepted another short-notice booking.<\/p>\n

A win over Blachowicz moves the Kiwi closer to the title, which is
\ncurrently held by his teammate, Carlos
\nUlberg<\/a> (14-1). Despite former middleweight champion Robert
\nWhittaker<\/a> also being in the mix at 205 pounds, Stirling doesn\u2019t
\nsee himself fighting either one of his teammates.<\/p>\n

Whittaker (28-9), who has been training at
\nCity Kickboxing<\/a> lately, enjoyed a successful move up to the
\nlight heavyweight division, finishing Nikita
\nKrylov<\/a>. Amidst the Australian committing to the 205-pound
\ndivision and Ulberg winning the title, Stirling has shut down all
\ntalks of a potential matchup against either Whittaker or
\nUlberg.<\/p>\n

Stirling also believes Whittaker and Ulberg have the same stance on
\nfighting their teammates and claims he can avoid a collision with
\nthem as he is much younger. Rather, the 28-year-old wants to help
\nUlberg cement his title reign at light heavyweight.<\/p>\n

\u201cRob and Carlos are the best training partners, best bunch of
\nblokes to be around,\u201d Stirling told Full Send MMA. \u201cI don\u2019t want to
\nfight either of them. I think we are all on the same page. I think
\nthe difference between the boys and me is that I\u2019m super young.
\nThere\u2019s no rush for me as well. Carlos has still got a couple of
\nyears to solidify himself and I can still focus on helping him do
\nthat.\u201d<\/p>\n
