Costa (16-4) recently slammed former champions Jiri
\nProchazka<\/a> and Magomed
\nAnkalaev<\/a>, calling Prochazka \u201cdumb\u201d for his loss to current
\nchamp Carlos
\nUlberg<\/a> and labeling Ankalaev\u2019s last bout \u201cboring.\u201d The former
\nmiddleweight title challenger is now eyeing a title shot.<\/p>\n

Following Ankalaev\u2019s stoppage of Bogdan
\nGuskov<\/a> at
\nUFC Abu Dhabi<\/a>, Costa has taken repeated shots at the Russian.
\nDespite Ankalaev securing a late finish, their recent bout was
\nlackluster, primarily due to Guskov backtracking throughout. Costa
\nnow claims the former 205-pound king is closer to getting cut from
\nthe roster than the title.<\/p>\n

Costa also slammed Prochazka for his lapse in judgment against
\nUlberg, wherein the latter clearly suffered a leg injury in the
\nopening round. Prochazka noticed the injury but opted against
\ntaking advantage of it before \u201cBlack Jag\u201d knocked him out.<\/p>\n

Speculating on whom he should fight next, Costa has taken to social
\nmedia to ask fans to weigh in.<\/p>\n

\u201cSome say I should fight Jiri or Ankalaev,\u201d Costa wrote on
\nInstagram. \u201cJiri\u2019s coming off a dumb loss and Ankalaev, after sat
\nanother super boring fight, is closer to getting cut than to the
\ntitle. What u think about it?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBorrachinha\u201d also posted a clip from a podcast wherein former UFC
\nfighter Kenny
\nFlorian<\/a> and commentator Jon Anik discussed Ankalaev\u2019s crowd
\nreception at UFC Abu Dhabi. Florian even proposed Costa\u2019s name for
\nthe next light heavyweight title shot. In the post’s caption, Costa
\nhighlighted that Ankalaev was booed in Abu Dhabi, which is usually
\nconsidered home turf for Dagestani fighters.<\/p>\n

Costa is coming off back-to-back upset wins over Roman
\nKopylov<\/a> and a previously undefeated Azamat
\nMurzakanov<\/a>.<\/p>\n
