\nProfessional Fighters League<\/a> CEO believes its merger with
\n
\nMost Valuable Promotions<\/a> represents more than a business
\ndeal.<\/p>\n

PFL and MVP officially announced that they had joined forces under
\nthe MVP banner in one of the industry’s most significant shakeups.
\nIt will be led by MVP co-founders Jake Paul<\/a> and
\nNakisa Bidarian, while former PFL chief executive officer John
\nMartin will serve as CEO and a member of the board. Bidarian will
\ncontinue overseeing MVP’s boxing operations and marquee live
\nevents.<\/p>\n

John Martin explains vision for PFL-MVP merger<\/h2>\n

Martin believes the merger combines two organizations that have
\neach carved out unique positions in combat sports and gives the new
\ncompany the scale to compete on a much larger stage.<\/p>\n

\u201cOver the past seven years, PFL has built the world\u2019s No. 2 global
\nMMA company, assembling one of the sport\u2019s most elite fighter
\nrosters while creating a world-class global business with premier
\nmedia distribution across 34 broadcast and streaming partners,
\nreaching fans in more than 170 countries,\u201d Martin said in a press
\nrelease. \u201cAt the same time, MVP has redefined how combat sports
\nconnects with a new generation of fans, creating events that become
\ncultural moments and proving that athletes, sports, entertainment
\nand creators can all thrive together.\u201d<\/p>\n

Martin further said that this merger serves as something bigger
\nthan just combining two popular brand names.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis merger brings scale \u2014 in operations, in distribution and
\nmedia rights, in sponsorship, in fighter development and in fan
\nengagement,\u201d he said. \u201cWe’re not just combining companies; we’re
\nbringing an entire combat sports community together and creating a
\nmore powerful platform to accelerate growth. One company, one
\nglobal stage, millions of fans and we’re only just getting
\nstarted.\u201d<\/p>\n

Martin also expressed confidence in Paul and Bidarian in leadership
\npositions.<\/p>\n

\u201cI’m excited to work with Jake and Nakisa as we build the future of
\ncombat sports together,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

The merged company says it will operate under a fighter-first
\nphilosophy, featuring a roster of roughly 400 athletes across MMA
\nand boxing while staging five premium combat sports events in
\nAugust.<\/p>\n
