Daniel
\nCormier<\/a> isn’t letting Jon Jones<\/a>
\nrewrite their rivalry.<\/p>\n

The
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> Hall of Famer has dismissed
\nJones’ recent claim that the two privately buried the hatchet while
\nfilming a reality series in Thailand, insisting no such
\nconversation ever took place.<\/p>\n

Daniel Cormier rejects Jon Jones’ reconciliation story<\/h2>\n

Jones recently told ALF Global that Cormier admitted their rivalry
\nwas too lucrative for them to then publicly become friends, even if
\nthere were no lingering issues between them behind the scenes.
\n\u201cD.C.\u201d rejected Jones’ version of events, insisting the
\nconversation never happened.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat didn\u2019t happen,\u201d Cormier said on his YouTube channel. \u201cWe did
\nnot have that conversation… No. He\u2019s just my enemy all the time.
\nIt just is what it is. It’s OK. As I have told you before, you can
\ngo to bed at night with an enemy. You don\u2019t need the happy fairy
\ntale ending.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Cormier acknowledged that their rivalry generated significant
\npaydays for both men, he stressed that the animosity was never
\nmanufactured for business purposes. He compared their financial
\nsuccess to other iconic combat sports rivalries, but maintained
\nthat the bad blood between the pair was always genuine.<\/p>\n

Cormier also admitted that time has eased some of the intensity,
\nsaying the pair can now occupy the same room without immediately
\nwanting to fight. However, he insists there\u2019s too much history
\nbetween them for a friendship to develop. The UFC commentator also
\nquestioned why Jones continues to revisit their rivalry.<\/p>\n

\u201cGenerally, when you get older, you start to dislike people more,\u201d
\nCormier added. \u201cJon Jones, I do still hate you and I always
\nwill.\u201d<\/p>\n
