\nwill shock the MMA world by knocking out Islam
\nMakhachev<\/a> in their upcoming title fight in the
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a>.<\/p>\n

While Makhachev is the clear betting favorite heading into UFC
\n330<\/a>, the
\nChute Boxe<\/a> coach believes the betting line fails to reflect
\njust how dangerous Garry will be when the two collide on Aug. 15 at
\nXfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia.<\/p>\n

Why Diego Lima believes Ian Garry’s size, full training camp
\nand all-around game could lead to a knockout of Islam
\nMakhachev<\/h2>\n

Speaking to Sherdog, Lima weighed in on the upcoming fight between
\nMakhachev and Garry. He acknowledged that Makhachev has looked like
\na different fighter since moving to 170 pounds, particularly in his
\ndominant title-winning performance against Jack
\nDella Maddalena<\/a> last year.<\/p>\n

\u201cMakhachev is definitely a special fighter. I was really impressed
\nby what he did against Maddalena because he completely changed his
\nfighting style after moving up in weight,\u201d Lima said. \u201cAt
\nlightweight he took more risks and absorbed a lot more strikes. In
\nhis welterweight debut against the Australian, he barely got hit
\nfor over 25 minutes. It was practically a flawless
\nperformance.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lima then highlighted how Garry is far more well-rounded than Della
\nMaddalena before emphasizing the importance of a full training
\ncamp. While many of the Irishman\u2019s high-profile bouts in the UFC
\nhave come on short notice, \u201cThe Future\u201d has ample time to prepare
\nthis time around.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf people are using the Maddalena fight as a comparison, they
\nshould remember that Jack is an excellent boxer, but Ian is one of
\nthe most complete fighters in the division,\u201d Lima said. \u201cHe is good
\non boxing, kicking, takedowns and grappling. Besides being
\nextremely versatile, Ian is one of the biggest welterweights on the
\nroster, and for the first time since joining the UFC, he’s had a
\nfull training camp. Against Prates, he was called two weeks before
\nthe fight; against Rakhmonov, 20 days. This time he was able to
\ntrain specifically for Islam during two months.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lima then gave a prediction, strongly backing Garry, foreseeing a
\nstoppage victory for the former
\nCage Warriors<\/a> champ.<\/p>\n

\u201cI’m not going to pick the round, but I don’t believe Islam makes
\nit to the fifth,\u201d Lima said. \u201cBefore then, Ian is going to land a
\nshot that Makhachev will feel, and once that happens, he’ll lose
