Strickland (31-7) has been recovering from a shoulder injury since
\nwinning the middleweight title against Chimaev (15-1) at
\nUFC 328<\/a> this past May. The champ recently revealed that his
\nshoulder is recovering well before addressing Chimaev\u2019s recent
\ncallouts.<\/p>\n

Strickland joked about giving Chimaev weight-cutting lessons as
\n\u201cBorz\u201d was visibly drained in their first meeting.<\/p>\n

\u201cYall keep asking me when I’m gonna fight again,\u201d Strickland wrote
\non X. \u201cShoulder is getting solid, need a little longer. As to who
\nI’m fighting. Chimaev keeps running his fucking mouth. Want me to
\nteach you how to cut weight so you can stop b*tching for a second

Strickland was a massive underdog going into his title challenge
\nagainst Chimaev at UFC 328. However, Chimaev was visibly fatigued
\nin the second round and forced to abandon his wrestling following a
\ndesperate takedown attempt that failed.<\/p>\n

Strickland then outlanded Chimaev on the feet to earn a unanimous
\ndecision win in one of the biggest upsets of recent times. Chimaev
\nwas initially rumored to be eyeing a move up to light heavyweight
\nfollowing his first professional loss. However, he has since been
\ncalling for a title rematch against Strickland.<\/p>\n
