\nProfessional Fighters League<\/a> lightweight champion Usman
\nNurmagomedov<\/a>‘s latest title defense is now official following
\nthe
\nPFL New York<\/a> weigh-ins.<\/p>\n

The PFL New York main event will see Nurmagomedov (21-0, 1 NC) put
\nhis belt on the line against Archie
\nColgan<\/a>. Both men had no trouble making championship weight, so
\nthe five-round fight will proceed. All other fighters made weight
\nfor the event, although we are still awaiting results for Khabib
\nNabiev<\/a> and Jamelle
\nJones<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 28-year-old Nurmagomedov is widely regarded as the PFL’s best
\nfighter. The undefeated lightweight champion previously held
\nBellator’s belt since 2022 and won the inaugural PFL lightweight
\nchampionship against Paul Hughes<\/a>
\nlast year. This marks his second title defense as he recently
\nsubmitted Alfie Davis<\/a>
\nto retain the title. The American Kickboxing Academy product
\nweighed in at 154.8 pounds.<\/p>\n

Looking to pull off a major upset is the undefeated Colgan (13-0).
\n2-0 inside the promotion, Colgan outpointed Mansour
\nBarnaoui<\/a> and Jay-Jay
\nWilson<\/a> in his most recent fights. The 31-year-old has never
\ntasted defeat and previously went 8-0 inside Bellator MMA. “King”
\nstepped on the scale weighing 154.8 pounds for the biggest fight of
\nhis career.<\/p>\n

PFL New York will air live on ESPN on Friday. Prelims begin at 4
\np.m. ET\/1 p.m. PT on the ESPN app before moving to ESPN at 7 p.m.
\nET\/4 p.m. PT.<\/p>\n
