Renato Moicano submits Patricky Freire ahead of UFC return<\/h2>\n

He needed less than four minutes to secure an arm-triangle choke
\nafter countering a takedown, advancing to mount and forcing the
\ntap.<\/p>\n

This took Moicano\u2019s submission grappling record to 3-1. He
\npreviously defeated fellow UFC fighter Chase
\nHooper<\/a> in 2021 and Cristian
\nGuzman<\/a> in 2024 before losing to Russia\u2019s Yusuf
\nRaisov<\/a>. Meanwhile, the result marked Freire\u2019s second submission
\nloss in a grappling match against a UFC athlete, previously losing
\nto Arman
\nTsarukyan<\/a> last year. Furthermore, \u201cPitbull\u201d is on a five-five
\nlosing streak in MMA.<\/p>\n

Moicano (21-7-1) returns at UFC 331 on Sept. 18 in Los Angeles,

\nOrtega<\/a>. The UFC veteran finished Chris
\nDuncan<\/a> in the second round in his last MMA bout, bouncing back
\nfrom consecutive defeats to Islam
